Fuzzerbear, The Real Story and The Truth About Angels

It is customary when I am away from home before I sleep, to check in with my girls, speaking to each one, and listening to the commentary on their own days and telling them of mine. I also speak to The Creator as I do each night before I sleep.

On this particular fall night, in Glacier National Park, an amazing and highly emotional experience accompanied those nightly prayers and communications.

I'd just finished speaking with the girls. Always, I begin and end with Fuzzerbear and Fudgie. These two girls are inexplicably special in my heart. I love all my girls beyond description, and it is as if these two are my left and right lungs and are necessary somehow for me to breathe.   Fuzzerbear's voice is almost like listening to that of the Holy Mother's voice. It has the ability to soothe with it's very tone. Her words are loving and very wise, very maternal.

Not all dogs speak in words. Fuzzerbear does. (I’ve often had to go to the dictionary to learn the meaning of some of her words).   For a long time I had told her I would love to know who she really is - in spirit - and what she really looks like - her true self - in spirit. I've always known that as a being of such benevolence, and grace and wisdom, even in the body of a dog, her own being superceded my own in stature, and I've felt incredibly blessed that she is here, living her life with me.

On this clear, cold night at the border of American and Canada, in my bed in the lodge nestled between the mountains, I was told me that if I wished to see Fuzzerbear as who she REALLY is, all I needed to do was ask again. Because, He said, it was time. Taken aback by this clear communication from Father on this particular night I was both surprised and eager that now, so far from my wonderful girl this long awaited dream would come true.

The moment I affirmed the desire to KNOW and to SEE, an enormous winged angel appeared before me - taller than the mountains all around us. Everything was brighter than the brightest, clearest day, and I was awestruck at the beauty before me. I cannot describe in words what I felt, for there are no words in this dimension that can speak of the feeling of love - of BE-ing love...of being safe...of being HOME that I felt then.

It was then that the Creator's voice and her own combined, beginning several hours of instruction. I was told that I am to share what I heard that night when  it is time. Even the thought of this is emotional for me. I cannot tell this without tears.

I was told that a great many of our beloved animal friends are, in fact, our guardian angels. I was told that it is The Creator's Great Joy and their (the angel's) Great Delight to come for a brief time, in the bodies of our beloved pets - to allow us a piece of our true home to touch, to hold close, to take into our hearts in a way we can understand and incorporate here in the physical, in this dimension. It is a way for them to comfort, love, teach, and protect us in a way they cannot always do from the other realm, even as our guardians.

Each of us have many, many angels. Some are with us from the time we were created. Fuzzerbear has been with me from that moment, and the being who is Fudgie came right on her heels. They are, for me, the two who are never separate from me at any time. There are many others, just as there are for us all.

I will not bore you with more about my own special blessings in the form of long silky hair, big loving brown eyes with long eyelashes, and lush tails curled up over their little backs. You have your own special ones. Know well, however, that they are far more than what we see before us. They are a piece of home in a world where we often feel we do not belong. And their presence here with us is our Father's Great Joy and their Delight. They are magnificent beyond description in their true form AND in this one.

How does it get any better than this?

 *** NOTE:

Fuzzerbear left her Lhasa Apso body ( pictured on this page atop Leslie's shoulder, where she has, indeed, been since the dawn of time) in August 2002. She died in Leslie's arms 3 weeks shy of her 19th birthday. She is, however, still very much present with Leslie at all times.

Fudgie appears with Leslie on other pages on this website. That, too is quite a story. Fudgie died at age 6, when she was Lhasa with a black coat. (Actually, she was Fuzzerbear's daughter, and so we named her Fudgerbear).  She came right back to us in the body of a red Lhasa, and although we gave her the opportunity to choose a new name, she felt strongly that she would prefer to keep "her" name, Fudgie.

We feel incredibly blessed to be on this journey with these amazing beings of love and light. And we are eternally grateful for all their love and their wisdom.

This is part of the upcoming book by Leslie Bean.

Leslie's background is in Healthcare. She retired from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1999, where she was the founding Director of the Department of Patient Advocacy. While at M.D. Anderson, Leslie and had numerous other responsibilities including Ethics, Quality of Care, Risk Management, Training and Education, Mediation, and Volunteers.

All of her life, Leslie has had an affinity for animals; She seemed to know and understand how they felt. In fact, from the time she was a small child there seemed to be things she just "KNEW". Her family attributed it all to an active imagination. Although she longed to have animals around her, she waited until adulthood for them to be a part of her everyday life.

Eventually, Leslie learned there were people who called themselves animal communicators and she sought out a woman named Penelope Smith in Point Reyes, California, traveling there several times to study with her. Penelope helped Leslie to gain the confidence that animal communication is a wonderful and important part of us all. Leslie used it with family and friends, but her position at the hospital and leadership roles with state and national professional societies required 12-14 hours daily, and there was little time or energy for anything that was not related to advocacy for cancer patients, cancer care, ethics, death and dying, and problem solving.

Fuzzerbear, one of Leslie's beloved Lhasa Apsos, has taught her what animals come to do, where they come from, and how we are all connected in the "vast everything." Much of what Leslie shares about animal communication comes directly from the teachings of Fuzzerbear.

In 1999, a visitation from Jesus, in her office in the hospital, convinced Leslie that it was time to embark on a new life journey. As Leslie began the new journey she would use the talents she came here with to help connect hearts - with the understanding of why animals are here. Perhaps the most surprising part of this evolution would be how Access would also become a part of the total understanding.

After her retirement and during the time she was working through major health issues with her "girls," Leslie developed a unique diet that would help the "girls" work through major health issues. This process proved to be so successful that Veterinarians have asked for permission to pass this information on to other pet owners. This is an unfolding process, a process of devotion that has opened the doors of a greater awareness at many levels. While the nutritional learning curve continues to unfold, Leslie has begun the process of penning a book with the help of "Fuzzer."

Leslie has earned the respect and trust of many people, from all walks of life. It comes as no surprise to those that know her well that Leslie is now beginning to teach and lecture.
